Beautiful Loom made from over $17,000 worth of Koa Wood, an extremely rare and exotic wood Brand new (never used) floor loom from J-Made, assembled, and in excellent++ condition. A gorgeous piece of furniture as well as a top-of-the-line floor loom with excellent craftsmanship. Purchase includes: - 45" weaving width, 12-Harness floor loom - 62" beater width- Koa wood: This Hawaiian hardwood is considered to be one of the world's most beautiful woods and is quite rare.- double warp and back beam- worm gear brakes- treadle lock- 49" 12-reed- 49" 5-dent reed- wire heddles- loom footprint: 57" deep, 62" wide- 48" weaving bench, with storage; in matching Koa wood The well-known J-Made Floor Loom is excellent for all types of weaving - fine fabric to rug making. EXTRAS included with this purchase are a 37.5" square warping frame, weaving books, boat and stick shuttles, shed sticks, extra 10" reed and more. KOA WOOD INFORMATIONIn a recent conversation with Dale Johnston, owner and engineer/maker of the J-Made Floor loom, he told us he used over 500 board feet of the finest Hawaiin Koa wood during the making of this loom. This level of quality of Koa wood is not available any longer. At the current Koa wood pricing of $32 - $35, and up, per board foot, that would be over $17,600 worth of Koa wood alone in this loom. Our starting price of $6,000 is an incredible bargain. Mr. Johnston stated in a previous phone conversation that the actual worth of this loom would be over $20,000. Mr. Johnston has volunteered to help, via telephone calls, with the dismanteling and reassembly of this loom. He is available for any questions from the new owner.
